Skechers Vietnam Trading Limited is a joint venture with Skechers USA, Inc since 2019. Skechers is now available in more than 30 concept stores across Vietnam. They sell products through major distributors following a consignment model and via online shopping platforms.
The solution
The Skechers Group was already using LS Retail software solutions in its business operation with high levels of satisfaction. Therefore, when the time came to expand the business in Vietnam, LS Central was selected as a trusted system from the start. LS Central extends Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and fully supports Skechers’ wholesale, retail and consignment sales model with minimum customization, making implementation quicker and easier. Local LS Retail partner NaviWorld Vietnam took care of the implementation and made Skechers fully operational within just 4 months of implementation, despite a few challenges.
Skechers faced a number of early roadblocks when entering the market in Vietnam, first by not having the local business license for the retail sector. Skechers and technology partner NaviWorld Vietnam also dealt with numerous changes in the project personnel, which led to issues in data consistency and accuracy. To avoid errors, it was required to automate all processes such as import, export, stock transfer between warehouses, data integration with local inventory management software, and inherit real data for account receivable management. Implementing a unified system solved all challenges.
